Yoga at Strandside Wellness
I’ve been practising yoga since the early 2000s, and over the years it has become an anchor in my life. Yoga has supported me through life’s ups and downs, teaching me how to listen inwardly and giving me tools to stay grounded, calm, and connected – not just on the mat, but in everyday life.
After many years as a dedicated student, I took the natural next step and qualified as a yoga teacher in May 2024. Now, I’m honoured to share this practice with others here in Dungarvan, Abbeyside, and across West Waterford.
My Approach to Yoga
For me, yoga is far more than movement or flexibility. It’s about connection, self-compassion, acceptance, and creating space – both in body and mind.
My belief is simple: everyone has the power to help themselves, and yoga is one of the most empowering tools to do that. Yoga is for everyone – every body, every ability, and every stage of life.
In my classes, I create a safe, supportive space where you can arrive exactly as you are – tired, busy, or anxious – and leave feeling more grounded, balanced, and at ease.
Why Practice Yoga?
Yoga is incredibly versatile. It can be:
Your sanctuary when you need calm and healing
Your workout when you want to build strength and energy
A chance to stretch, reset, and reconnect
A space to play, explore, and grow
Some days yoga is strong and energising. Other days it’s soft and restorative. Whatever you’re experiencing – physically, emotionally, or mentally – your practice will meet you where you are. That’s the magic of yoga.
